When quality makes the difference

When it comes to choosing a receiver screen for your golf simulator, durability is a key consideration. The durability of your screen will largely depend on the quality of its construction, and this can have a significant impact on your simulation experience. In this article, we conducted a comparison test between two brands of simulator screens, one of which is more affordable in terms of price, to highlight the differences in durability.

The Stress Test

To carry out this comparison, we used a robot capable of producing several impacts per second, at exactly the same location on each receiving screen. This method allows us to measure the resistance of the screens precisely and objectively.

Correlation with Your Progress

It is important to note that screen resistance is directly related to your level of progression as a sim pilot. The more you progress in your practice, the more you improve your accuracy of contact with the screen. This improvement leads to an increase in friction and spin, which can quickly wear out a lower quality landing screen. However, as long as you do not progress significantly, your landing screen should hold up without any problem.

Comparison of our premium screen and two brands

We chose to compare two brands of simulator screens against our premium screen: both being more affordable in terms of price

  • Affordable Screens: This screen showed signs of wear after just a few sim sessions. Repeated impacts quickly damaged its surface, leading to visual degradation. If you're a regular sim pilot, you might quickly run into visibility issues.

  • Premium Addon Golf Screen: Our screen held up impressively to repeated impacts. Even after numerous simulation sessions, it showed little signs of wear. The superior build quality of this screen made it a solid choice for discerning players who want an uncompromising simulation experience.

Choosing the right simulator monitor is crucial to your gaming experience. If you’re a developing player, investing in our premium monitor can save you money in the long run by avoiding frequent replacements. While more affordable monitors may look attractive, they may not stand up to the rigors of regular practice.

Ultimately, the difference in durability between simulator screens is clear, and our test shows that the premium option offers significantly better durability. Make your choice based on your needs and skill level, but remember that quality can make all the difference in your sim experience.
